HMI Touch Screens for Industrial Machines

HMI touch screens give operators a touch interface for machine controls, status displays and monitoring. Typical applications include machine tools, packaging and filling lines, textile and printing machinery, battery and solar production equipment, rubber and plastics machines and lifting equipment.

CNC Machine ToolsMilling, turning and grinding machines that show axis position, tool data and alarms at the machine.
Packaging & Food MachineryFilling, sealing and labelling lines that run a recipe and a short sequence from the panel.
Textile & Printing MachineryWinding, knitting and printing machines that set tension, speed and register values.
Battery & Solar ProductionCoating, winding and test stations where several panels share one project file.
Rubber & Plastics MachineryInjection, extrusion and mixing machines with temperature loops and a process trend.

Why Source Kinco HMI Panels Through CINKR?

01

Model Code Matching

Send the machine type, the panel size and the interfaces in use. We help you choose a model code that fits the cabinet and supports the connections your machine uses.

02

Cut-out and Depth Check

The panel opening, the body depth and the connector positions decide whether a panel can be fitted. These are checked against the machine before quotation.

03

Interface Review

Serial channel arrangements, Ethernet port counts, USB routes and optional Wi-Fi, 4G or CANopen interfaces are compared with the machine program.

04

Documentation Support

Manuals, dimension drawings, software information and certificate details are prepared with the quotation where they are available.

Kinco HMI Panel and Touch Screen FAQs

Choosing a Panel

What is a Kinco HMI panel, and do I still need a PLC?

A Kinco HMI panel is an operator interface that displays machine data and sends operator commands to a connected controller. The standalone panels listed here do not replace a PLC. They also differ from a touch screen monitor connected to a PC: an HMI runs its own configured project and communicates through supported device drivers. HMI/PLC combination units are a separate product type.

How do I choose the right Kinco HMI panel for my machine?

Start with the cabinet cut-out and mounting depth, then check the display size and resolution, power supply, communication ports, PLC protocol and configuration software. Compare the exact model code rather than the screen size alone. For a replacement, keep the old panel label, connector photos and project information together so you can check both the physical fit and the communication requirements.

What is the difference between Kinco GL070 and GL070E?

GL070 and GL070E are 7-inch panels with an 800 × 480 display. GL070E adds an Ethernet interface; GL070 does not provide that interface. This matters if your project needs Ethernet communication or network project transfer. Check the exact code and the supported driver before ordering: an Ethernet socket alone does not confirm compatibility with your PLC protocol.

Can I use a Kinco touch screen with gloves?

The panels in this catalogue use 4-wire resistive touch, which responds to pressure and can be operated with gloves or a suitable stylus. Test with the gloves used on your machine: material, thickness and the size of on-screen buttons affect operation. Resistive touch does not establish multi-touch capability, and the touch sensor type alone does not confirm protection against water or chemicals.

PLC and Communication

Can a Kinco HMI work with my Siemens, Mitsubishi or other PLC?

Compatibility depends on the exact PLC CPU or communication module, its enabled protocol, the HMI ports and the driver available in the matching Kinco software. A PLC brand name is not enough to confirm a connection. Record both model codes and the intended protocol, then check the driver connection help for supported addresses, cable requirements and communication settings.

Do I need Ethernet or RS485 for my Kinco HMI?

Choose the interface supported by your controller and required by the project. RS485 is an electrical interface that may carry a serial protocol such as Modbus RTU; Ethernet may carry Modbus TCP or another supported network protocol. Neither interface guarantees a particular driver. Confirm the exact HMI port, the PLC interface, the protocol and the network or serial settings before selecting a model.

Why does my Kinco HMI show “PLC No Response”?

This message indicates that the panel is not receiving the expected PLC communication response. It does not by itself identify a faulty panel. Check the selected driver and physical port, then the cable and controller settings. For serial links, compare the station address and serial parameters; for Ethernet, check the IP configuration and the protocol service. Record the full message before changing settings.

Software and Replacement

Which software do I need: Kinco DTools or DTools Pro?

Use the software specified for the exact panel model and generation. For example, Kinco lists DTools for the GL series and DTools Pro for the GL2 series. Do not choose a package just because the panel is described as Basic or has the same screen size as another model. Keep the original project and record its software version before opening or converting it in a different package.

Where can I find Kinco HMI software, manuals and wiring diagrams?

Start with the Kinco Download Center and the product page for your exact model. Look for the matching software package, user manual and dimension drawing; PLC cable and register information may be in the configuration software’s driver connection help. If you need documents for a purchase or replacement, send CINKR the full model code so the relevant files can be checked.

How do I download a project to a Kinco HMI panel?

Open the project in the matching Kinco software, select the correct target model and use a transfer method supported by that panel. A USB Slave port connects to a PC; a USB Host port can accept a flash drive where the model and software support project transfer. Ethernet transfer requires a suitable network model and settings. Back up the existing source project and check the model-specific download instructions first.

Can I replace my old HMI and reuse its project?

Sometimes, but the replacement must match more than the screen size. Check the cut-out, depth, power, ports, driver and software generation. Project conversion may require changes to the target model, addresses or supported objects. A working panel is not proof that an editable source project can be recovered from it. Locate the original source project and review the manufacturer’s transfer requirements before ordering.

Quotation and Support

How much does a Kinco HMI panel cost?

The quotation depends on the exact model code, quantity, destination and shipping requirements. Panels with the same screen size can have different interfaces and specifications, so a price for one code may not apply to another. Send the model and quantity, or provide the existing panel label and machine requirements if you need help choosing a code.

What should I send to get a Kinco HMI quote?

Send the full model code, quantity and destination country. For a replacement, add clear photos of the rear label and connectors, the measured cabinet cut-out and the PLC model. For a new machine, include the required screen size, communication protocol and configuration software. These details help us check the panel selection and prepare a quotation for the code you need.

How do I confirm availability, delivery time and the documents included?

Ask for confirmation against the exact model code and order quantity. The quotation should identify the supply status, expected delivery time, shipping terms and requested documents. Manuals, drawings and certificate details must match the model being supplied. If a software package or a particular certificate is required for your project, include that requirement in the enquiry so it can be checked before purchase.

REQUEST A QUOTE

Request a Quote for a Kinco HMI Panel

Send the model code you need, or describe the machine and the panel opening. For replacements, include the label details so the code can be checked against the cabinet. This form only prepares your message; it does not submit or store your information.
